備前をルーツとする二人の陶芸家、豊福博と後関裕士。

制作の場は岡山県和気町と茨城県常陸大宮市へと離れましたが、その表現の根底には、備前という土地で育まれた土、炎、そして時間が流れています。

本展では、香炉を中心とした二人の新作とともに、それぞれの作品から着想を得て調香師・沙里が制作した二つの香りを発表いたします。

作品に触れ、香りを感じることは、備前の風土や古窯に積み重なった時間へと想像を巡らせる旅でもあります。

南大窯跡に今も静かに積み重なる陶片のように、人から人へ受け継がれてきた営みと、その先に続く時間へ思いを馳せていただければ幸いです。

This exhibition brings together two ceramic artists with roots in Bizen: Toyofuku Hiroshi and Goseki Hiroshi.

Although their practices are now based far apart—Wake in Okayama and Hitachiomiya in Ibaraki—what runs deep in each of their expressions is the common passage of time, fire and clay that beautifully define the cultural landscape of Bizen.

While featuring the new works centered on incense burners by Toyofuku and Goseki, this exhibition also presents two original scents created by Sari - one inspired by Toyofuku and the other by Goseki.

We hope that you visit our gallery to feel the passage of time left in the old kiln and the enduring continuum of craftsmanship through various senses, just like a journey into the layers of time accumulated in the mounds of ceramic shards at the Minami-Ōgama kiln site.
